Anthony Rodriguez, Eng.279 “US NAVY Veteran” ANTHONY RODRIGUEZ, 36, of New York, was a firefighter whose sixth child was born three days after the Sept. 11 attacks. “She is such a beautiful baby,” said his mother Brunilda Rodriguez. He had been a firefighter for only six months after a 10-year career in the U.S. Navy. He was about to head home when the World Trade Center was attacked. “He said he had to go back in because the towers were under attack. That’s the last time we heard from him,” his mother said. He is survived by his wife, parents, children, siblings and grandparents.
