Christopher L. Burford ET3,USN

Christopher Lee Burford, of Hubert, North Carolina, joined the Navy shortly after finishing high school. The 23-year-old started his career at the Naval Training Center in Great Lakes, Illinois. He then moved to the Fleet Training Center in Norfolk, Virginia, for a three-month stint before joining the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations Telecommunications Center at the Pentagon in June 2000. Burford, a Petty Officer 3rd Class, was an electronics technician.
